Canon status

Is Imiolana a canon character? She's a sample Azlanti NPC build presented as a potential character to be added to the AP at the GM's discretion, or as "a potential replacement PC should a player lose her character late in the campaign, or inspiration for new characters the GM wishes to introduce from the distant past". She is not mentioned outside of this GM- or mechanically specific context in the AP, or in any other canon work that I can find.

As a mechanical device presented in explicitly mechanical terms outside of the adventure, to be introduced only at the GM's discretion, she would not seem to be any more canon than anyone's PC or GM-created NPC.

If she's canon, we need to rewrite assertions that Azlanti humans being alive after Aroden and specify her, such as Azlanti (human ethnicity). If another AP later canonizes her existence, we'd have to do that anyway, but we'd have a canon occurence or appearance to cite. -Oznogon (talk) 16:01, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
