??? Sourcebooks
Any idea why this book is auto-categorized into Category:???? sourcebooks? At first I thought the date was missing from the {{Book}} template, but it's there, and correctly categorized into Category:2015 sourcebooks. — Yoda8myhead (talk) 21:17, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Playing around, the error is somewhere in the {{Book}} template where the switch command is made for Sourcebooks. I changed the type to Accessory and it worked fine, so I pretty sure that's where the error is. I haven't yet been able to decipher the actual issue. --FoiledAgain (talk) 23:35, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- It was the autocategorization by rules set, which was designed to respond to a rules parameter of either D&D 3.5 or PFRPG when the type was Sourcebook. Since rules was "Pathfinder RPG", {{Book}} didn't find a match and categorized it as ????. I've tweaked the way {{Book}} handles rules to instead simply not add a category if rules equals something else. I'll fix {{Book}} to also allow "Pathfinder RPG". --Oznogon (talk) 17:40, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- {{Book}} now autocategorizes rules = PFRPG, rules = Pathfinder RPG, and rules = Pathfinder Roleplaying Game into Category:PFRPG sourcebooks, and rules = D&D 3.5 and rules = Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 into Category:D&D 3.5 sourcebooks, regardless of type. --Oznogon (talk) 17:49, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Yep - I doubt I'd ever have figured that out. Nice! --FoiledAgain (talk) 00:52, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
