Talk:Telandia Edasseril

Trivia

During the early development of the Pathfinder campaign setting, the word "Edasseril"—drawn from James Jacobs' homebrew setting—was unintentionally used for both the Thassilonian realm of envy Edasseril and the name of Kyonin's Queen Telandia Edasseril. This error was later justified in setting lore as described in the Edasseril article.1 See also Talk:Edasseril. -Oznogon (talk) 22:58, 12 March 2025 (UTC)

In the first days of scrambling to develop Varisia and Golarion while also closing up the magazines, I drew liberally on my homebrew setting for lore, names, deities, and more. The word "Edasseril" comes from my homebrew, and I ended up using it twice—once for the ancient nation of envy and once for the modern elven queen. But from that accident grew a pretty fun in-world bit of lore..." James Jacobs. (March 12, 2025). Comment on "Odd Naming Coincidence?", Paizo messageboards.
