Talk:Torble swarm

From PathfinderWiki

Combination with main article

Should this information be integrated into the existing torble article? It seems unnecessary to have two. -- yoda8myhead 18:35, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. At present, the torble swarm has Category:CR 2 creatures, and Category:Swarms, whereas the torble page has Category:CR 1/8 creatures. Early on, I was briefly confused to see torbles listed as a creature in the CR 2 creatures category. It's a similar issue to Rot grub and Giant rot grub or where we have Giant stymphalides or Stymphalides, swarm (but not Stymphalides). Do we have an official style for how to handle different versions of a creature? --Goblin Witchlord 18:45, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
We don't have a style for this situation yet, but my suggestion is to make the variant form a subheader of the main article, Then use line breaks in the main infobox, designating the CR of each variant (frex: CR 1/8 (individual)<br />CR 2 (swarm)). The article should still belong to all relevant categories, meaning it would belong to two or more CR categories. For an example of this approach, see Giant fly, which included the information for Giant maggot. -- yoda8myhead 18:51, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
