PaizoCon 2019

In a Secrets of Golarion panel at PaizoCon 2019, James Jacobs and John Compton discussed a Pathfinder First Edition adventure titled Sanctum of the Shadow Giants that was not developed. During this panel, Jacobs discussed several details about Zon-Kuthon's nature and origin that would have appeared in the adventure.

The panel and discussion are not canon works, and while Jacobs noted that some related details may have been seeded in other works such as Book of the Damned, others were not. Per the PathfinderWiki canon policy, the subjects of panel discussions such as this are not canon because they would represent new canon content rather than clarifications of existing canon, and thus do not become canon until they are published in a canon source.
