Thrasfyr, the Dreaming Hill of the Dark, is one of the progenitors of the Tane known as the Five Beasts of Ending that were created by the Eldest. It is the namesake and progenitor of thrasfyrs, lesser Tane who also resemble it in apperance and nature.

The original two-headed Thrasfyr is said to have been the only one of the Five Beasts of Ending to know of loyalty and served the Eldest out of love rather than fear. It has slumbered for countless years, and its powers cannot be controlled even by those who manage to awaken it from its dreams.
