"Baron" Venigo Palpathe is one of the pirate lords of Raketooth, the second largest port on Shark Island in the Shackles. He captains the sloop Water Nymph and claims descent from an aristocratic family in Thrushmoor, Ustalav. However, he also claims that he has shaken hands with Tar-Baphon and other unbelievable things.
