Amatatsu Aganhei was a Minkaian explorer who pioneered crossing the Crown of the World from Tian Xia to Avistan in 1300 AR. The route was so controversial that the Teikoku Shogunate of Minkai executed Amatatsu and ordered all records of it to be destroyed, and Amatatsu's route would not be rediscovered until 4300 AR.12

Background

Amatatsu first traversed a route across the inhospitable Crown of the World in 1300 AR. Scandalised by the discovery of the barbaric lands of northern Avistan, the head of the Teikoku Shogunate executed Amatatsu for his discovery.3

Amatatsu's lost maps were rediscovered by another Minkaian explorer in 4300 AR, and the so-called Path of Aganhei became a popular, if dangerous, trade route between Tian Xia and Avistan.4
