Avendale is the capital city of the River Kingdom of Touvette.

History

The city was once dominated by a variety of faiths who filled the power vacuum left by Touvette's weak and incompetent king, and these new faiths engaged in holy wars that further weakened the kingdom.

General Cabol Voran took over rule after the death of the king, then removed all temples from the city after driving out all the priests. Avendale's temples have since been converted into "charities", which are equal parts orphanage, school, hospital, and government work centre that serve the city's people. Other charity buildings are located in Seredain and Voluse.
