The awaken object ritual grants a rudimentary sapience to a small, inanimate, otherwise mundane object. The ritual is similar to awaken animal, except it requires crushed gems and spices rather than herbs. While this ritual cannot awaken magic items or constructs, it can be effective on animated objects.

If the ritual's primary spellcaster substantially botches their attempt, their consciousness might be trapped inside of the object they were attempting to awawken.
