The Black Sisters of Gyronna are at least one coven of wicked witches who have wreaked havoc on the River Kingdoms for centuries.

History

The Black Sisters turned the town of Heibarr against itself after arriving in 4434 AR. By 4435 AR, the River Gate of Heibarr—opened only a year earlier—was destroyed, and the town was subsequently abandoned.

A coven of the same name resurfaced hundreds of years later ca. 4670 AR in Brevoy, which exiled them. The coven issued a prophecy that the legendary Tiger Lords leader Armag would return as a child bearing his spirit and attack Brevoy as vengeance for their exile, a foresight that failed to materialize. However, by 4710 AR they emerged again as the advisors of the so-called Armag the Twice-Born and the Tiger Lords, having manipulated them into believing their prophecy was real.
