Nolaria Wintren
Nolaria Wintren is an apprentice to the head priest of Saringallow's temple of Erastil, but secretly wishes to become an adventurer.1
Appearance
Wintren is a brown-haired human woman who wears her hair in a messy bun and prefers practical clothing. She often wears leather armor and a fur cloak that bears a religious symbol of Erastil, and always carries a longbow that was used in the Goblinblood Wars.2
Background
Wintren's parents were officers in the Isgeri Army,3 and both were killed by goblins near the end of the Goblinblood Wars.34 The hobgoblin captain Gristlebriar razed the village where Wintren lived and her parents both served; the Wintrens' family friend Ildris Ruvarra, an Erastilian priest, was one of the village's few survivors who fled the carnage.3
When Ruvarra returned to the smoldering village, he found Wintren hiding under the fallen bell of the village's ruined temple to Erastil. He adopted and raised Wintren, and later moved to Saringallow to become its head priest of Erastil.3

Ruvarra left Wintren in the care of the family of Wintren's older cousin Nixa Volsetti during his frequent travels. Volsetti taught Wintren archery, and Wintren in turn taught Volsetti how to read; the two quickly became as close as siblings.34
As Wintren grew, Ruvarra attempted to guide her into a future as a town's priest of Erastil. However, Wintren felt too much of a pull to travel and serve Erastil as an adventurer.3
Associates
Wintren is almost always accompanied by her raven familiar Blackfeather.
Gellion Vazarro, apprentice to Saringallow's apothecary Majara Pricknettle, is Wintren's closest friend and fellow prospective adventurer. The two lead several other of the town's apprentices in dreaming about their future adventures together.1
Possessions
Wintren also owns a large cold iron morningstar.5
