Giant ravens in the Menador Mountains and elsewhere can grow to astonishing size, to the point where they pose a threat to small animals such as foxes and raccoons. They stand nearly five feet in height and weigh approximately 45 pounds. Like their smaller brethren, they eat nearly anything but prefer insects, small mammals, and birds. Unlike regular-sized ravens, giant ravens are not adopted as familiars, but are occasionally befriended and become animal companions.34

Highly intelligent birds, ravens will occasionally flock together to better hunt for food. Such raven swarms may contain hundreds of individual ravens and target their prey's eyes particularly. Even more dangerous is when several raven swarms start to work together to corner their prey.4
