Category talk:Dead deities

From PathfinderWiki

Category description

The current description of this category is:

It's not easy to kill a god, but there are ways. Listed here are all deities thought or known to be dead.

Judging by the use of the present infinitive form of the verb to be, it implies that only deities that are currently dead should be listed in this category. In practice, it also includes deities such as Arazni (who was dead before being raised as undead and regaining the divine source) and Tsukiyo (who also was only temporarily dead before being resurrected).

I'm not quite sure which one of these is the actual purpose of this category, and I'm proposing to get rid of this inconsistency by either removing the formerly-dead deities, or changing the form of the verb to be from present infinitive to perfect infinitive to make it clear that the category should include both deities that are currently dead and those that used to be dead. - HTD (talk) 15:18, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Categories usually don't have descriptions and most that do are very old and, thus, likely out of date as the campaign has progressed significantly. This one is from 2008. I shall delete it now to save further confusion, HTD. I am comfortable with deities that were dead being included here to help people search. --Fleanetha (talk) 16:01, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
