Choxani,1 also called picture people, are faceless humanoid fey who embody the tendency in nature of things to resemble other things.2

Appearance

A choxani is a faceless, human-sized humanoid with iridescent dragonfly wings and wood-like skin that shifts in color and pattern. The average specimen stands 7 feet tall and weighs 150 pounds.2

Abilities

A typical choxani is as dexterous as a human and can wield weapons, such as longbows and rapiers.2

Choxani can manipulate their fingers and faces into funnels and feed by using them to drain the color and life from creatures. This draining can kill a living creature, which leaves only a colorless husk. They often hypnotize their prey by forming hypnotic patterns with its coloration, and can interpret their subconscious patterns to divine information.2

Choxani understand First Speech but mostly communicate through hand gesture and their body's markings, which can form words and pictures.2

Society

It is the nature of choxani to embody the phenomenon of a natural resemblance between shapes and forms, such as the formation of clouds that resemble animals or a creature engaging its natural camouflage. These events resonate with choxani as proof of a greater design, which they worship with the intensity of a religion.2

The acropolis of Narpora serves as the largest gathering of choxani in the First World, a post for trading with other beings, and the home of the Winding Weave library of complex visual artwork.3

Religion

Some choxani serve Magdh as her minions.4
