This article covers a topic relevant to Pathfinder First Edition. For the Pathfinder Second Edition equivalent, see consecrate.

Consecrate is a divine spell that blesses a small area with positive energy. Undead cannot be created or summoned within the area, and they have a harder time resisting a cleric's positive channeled energy. If the area contains a shrine dedicated to the caster's deity, the effects of the spell are doubled. If cast on an area previously consecrated to a different deity, the spell severs the god's connection to it. Consecrate also counters the spell desecrate.1[citation needed]
