The dominate person spell allows the caster to telepathically influence and control a humanoid. If they share a language, complex commands can be given; otherwise only basic commands such as "fight" or "come here" work. With concentration, direct sensory input can be read by the caster. Commands that would be self-destructive to the subject are not followed.[1]
