The Doom Idol of Ib is a sea-green statue of Bokrug measuring 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide. It is used by the beings of Ib, Bokrug's devotees, as the centre of their rituals to worship their patron. The beings of Ib have a preternatural connection to the Doom Idol, which allows them to sense it as long as it is on the same plane as they are. As a result, although it has been stolen numerous times, it was always retrieved by the undead beings of Ib and returned to the ruins of Ib.1

The Doom Idol of Ib was retrieved by Haserton Lowls IV and offered to the Mad Poet Abdul Alhazred in exchange for an audience. Alhazred later returned the idol to the ghosts of Ib when they came to take it back.1
