Emperor's Mile

The Emperor's Mile is a popular horse race in Taldor that ends at the famous Sureshire Ranch, whose history stretches back thousands of years and has sponsored the race for the last 1,200 years.

The Emperor's Mile is a gruelling race across Taldor's Ligos Prefecture, and its route includes the Emperor's Pass. The winner receives several thousand gold pieces and a year's access to the Well of Kurgess, a sacred spring said to grant any beast of burden that drinks from it supernatural strength and virility.
