Mark Moreland, (known on the wiki as yoda8myhead), was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. He attended college at New York University, where he received a BFA in film and television production.
For his contributions to the Paizo community, including work as a moderator on the PathfinderWiki, Mark received the 2010 Volunteer of the Year award, given retroactively at PaizoCon 2011.
Mark's first Pathfinder adventure, The Pallid Plague, was published in February 2010.
In August of that year, Mark accepted a position as Developer at Paizo Publishing, focusing on the Pathfinder Society Scenarios, Pathfinder Modules, and Pathfinder Campaign Setting lines.
In 2011, Mark served along with Neil Spicer, Sean K Reynolds, and Ryan Dancey as judge for RPG Superstar 2011.
In August 2017, Mark changed roles within Paizo to fill the newly created Franchise Manager position, in which he worked with creative and business stakeholders to ensure consistency of both Pathfinder and Starfinder brands across various channels.
In January 2020, Mark was promoted to Director of Brand Strategy, working to ensure that Pathfinder and Starfinder products have the widest reach and provide the best possible gaming experience for players, GMs, and other fans.
In addition to his work on official Paizo products, Mark has served as a freelance editor and developer for such companies as 0One Games, Brave Halfling Publishing, Gun Metal Games, Hostile Work Environment, Know Direction, and Rite Publishing.
Mark lives in the greater Seattle area with his wife, daughter, and cat.
