Eravar

From PathfinderWiki

Eravars are azarketis who dwell along rivers, swamps, lakes, and other inland bodies of water, rather than in oceanic depths.1

Appearance

Eravars resemble most other azarketi ethnicities, though they tend to have darker brown skin, particularly when compared to the deep-dwelling Alvadnas.1

Culture

Eravars dwell in much smaller bodies of water than their ocean-bound kin, and their culture has adapted to a life more closely intertwined with the land. Eravars typically live along the banks of fertile rivers, half submerged in swamps or marshlands, or at the base of or in caverns behind large waterfalls.

Eravars practice an agrarian lifestyle, both farming crops and rearing livestock, and are particularly fond of pets. They often keep several different domesticated birds, fish, or aquatic mammals as companions. Eravars tend to be less isolationist than other azarketis and happily welcome visitors to their settlements and trade with their neighbors.1
