Alvadna

From PathfinderWiki

The Alvadnas are an azarketi people who have specifically adapted to life in the deepest depths of the oceans of Golarion.1

Appearance

Alvadnas have adapted over generations to the midnight depths they call home. Alvadnas have noticeably larger eyes than other azarketi to help them see better through the murky darkness. Like many deep-sea fish, their skin is semi-translucent. Alvadnas have mastered binding the marine snow found in the deepest depths into thin, fabric-like sheets that they then use to manufacture clothing.1

Culture

Alvadnas live in deep-sea trenches that enable their reclusive tendencies. They live in large communities and favor a more sedentary lifestyle than many other azarketi cultures. Gelatinous creatures such as sea cucumbers and jellyfish are their main sources of food, though they also fashion marine snow into nets to catch and eat deep-sea fish, starfish, and eels. Unique amongst the azarketi, Alvadnas often frequent underwater volcanoes and use their control over water to shape the lava emerging from these volcanoes into unique tools and weapons.1
