Healing
- This article covers the process of healing. For the domain, see Healing (domain).
Healing is the restoration of a creature's body, often by treating wounds and removing diseases, poisons, or other debilitating effects.1
In alchemy
Alchemical items and remedies can be healing in nature, such as potions of healing23 and antiplague elixirs.45
In creatures
Many creatures naturally recover from minor wounds and afflictions, especially after resting,6 though some can innately heal faster than others or actively regenerate their damaged bodies.7
In magic

Healing magic can cure wounds and afflictions through a variety of means, and powerful resurrection magics can heal even dead creatures.8910
In medicine
Many non-magical forms of healing are referred to as forms of medicine. Medical treatments can stanch open wounds, speed long-term recovery from injuries, bolster defenses against diseases, and halt the spread of poisons.11
