Hellfire Testament

From PathfinderWiki

The Hellfire Testament serves as both the fortress and throne of Mephistopheles from which he rules over Caina, Hell's second-lowest level.1

Structure

The Hellfire Testament is a palace larger than any mortal mountain and made from an unholy amalgam of cages and winding chains. Each cage contains the soul of a mass murderer, warlord, dictator, or bloodthirsty monarch who is damned to suffer for all eternity within the palace as Caina's fiery winds tear at their flesh. Below them, a horde of nessari advisors and other powerful devils further Mephistopheles' secret unholy schemes.

Mephistopheles' throne—made of skulls and torn-off, flaming angel wings—is located at the pinnacle of the Hellfire Testament and is a part of the castle itself. This peak is wreathed in an endless storm of Hellfire from which Mephistopheles claims to be able to hear every sigh, lament, and agonist scream uttered in all of Hell, and is where the Crimson Son can usually be found.1
