Pathfinder Second Edition content
This article covers a term or subject that is relevant to the Pathfinder campaign setting only in the context of Pathfinder Second Edition or Pathfinder Lost Omens.

An alloy orb is a talisman in the form of a solid metal orb. However, it appears to surge like a liquid with dark iron and bright silver colors. When affixed to a weapon, an alloy orb can be activated to suppress its material and temporarily take on the properties of cold iron or silver instead.1

Alloy orbs can be assessed as low, standard, or high grade. Lower grade orbs function only on some weaker weapons, as their magic is overwhelmed by more powerful weapons. High-grade orbs are less common but function on all weapons. Particularly exquisite orbs of standard or high grades can also take on the material properties of adamantine, or of dawnsilver instead of mundane silver.1
