Irem

Irem, the City of Pillars, is a lost city located in the Empty Quarter on the planet Earth. It was explored over a thousand years ago by the Mad Poet Abdul Alhazred, who acquired knowledge there not meant for human ears. This knowledge slowly drove him insane, ultimately causing him to write the dreaded occult tome, the Necronomicon.¹
