Retcon

In Pathfinder First Edition, all investigators (in the same manner as alchemists) used magical alchemical extracts to produce the effects of spells. Pathfinder Second Edition retroactively establishes that alchemy is non-magical, and alchemical sciences (which allows creating alchemist-like infused tincture items) is only one of several methodologies that different investigators specialize in. --Descriptivist (talk) 13:24, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

Accordingly, Descriptivist removed the following content from the article:
Investigators who specialize in alchemy carry formula books to store their known formulas, much like alchemists.1
This retroactive change is primarily mechanical in nature, and Advanced Class Guide is a non-canon source. No canon source supports or invalidates the removed content. For the version of this article prior to this change, see revision 521384. -Oznogon (talk) 03:31, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
