Night hags as described prior to the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project originated in another game and were used in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game under the Open Game License. The Remaster Project changed the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game's license to the Open RPG Creative license, preventing further use of night hags as previously described.

Cuckoo hags share mechanical and fictional roles that night hags filled, but also have significant differences; a canon replacement for night hags in their prior canon contexts might not exist. -Oznogon (talk) 07:18, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
