Retcon

Beginning with Monster Core, the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project revised the origins and nature of rakshasas, removing their focuses on reincarnation and cycles of mortality and making them divinely created manifestations of profane concepts. This included removing all fiendish elements and mechanical traits from rakshasas.

Prior assertions about rakshasa origins, abilities, nature, and culture might no longer be canon, and canon replacements for those concepts or related beings might not exist.
