Meta:Undine
Retroactive changes
Pathfinder Second Edition Ancestry Guide 118 states that undines can breathe water. This appears to be a retroactive change to Pathfinder First Edition mechanics stating that undines could not breathe underwater, which results in a canon change to undines.
Ancestry Guide, and Pathfinder Second Edition in general, allows planar scions to be born without an extraplanar being as a parent or ancestor. This reflects a canon change from Pathfinder First Edition works, which were more prescriptive about geniekin being descendants of elemental beings.
Rage of Elements renamed many genies and elemental beings, including marids (to faydhaans) and mephits (to elemental scamps). It also renamed the Aquan language to Thalassic.
Pathfinder Second Edition, and especially the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project, introduce playable ancestries that are not necessarily humanoid. In Pathfinder First Edition, planar scions were all humanoids. This also results in a canon change.
