Mithral tree

From PathfinderWiki

Mithral trees are elven firearms that originated and are most commonly used in Jinin, where they are named for the legends of Jinin's founding. They are long rifles with a fanned stock and sweeping barrel that has been reinforced with metal rings that allow it to be used to parry melee attacks. Despite their name, they are not made of dawnsilver, a metal also known as mithral.1

Appearance

A mithral tree has an intricately carved branching stock with tree-like shapes. Its metal barrel is vented and wrapped at intervals with reinforcing rings.2

Variants

A three-peaked tree, originally developed for a Jininese champion, is a mithral tree with three points that can also be thrown as a trident. A silk rope attached to its butt allows the wielder to quickly retrieve it after it has been thrown.3

Notable wielders

The Jininese elf Zindarel was gifted a mithral tree of exceptional beauty and craftsmanship for her dedication to pursuing her training as a warrior.2
