Moas are long-necked, flightless birds as tall as ogres, with powerful legs ending in sharp talons. They live in flocks in warm prairies and, although they are herbivorous and normally much more timid and docile than their great height would suggest, they can become extremely aggressive when they feel their flock and young are threatened.
