The barkentine Mollusk was originally captained by Shaggard Halleck, one of the two captains who founded the settlement of Lilywhite on Motaku Isle in the Shackles, until his death in c. 4692 AR.

Sometime after his father's death, Halleck's son, Little Shaggard, took on the captaincy of the Mollusk and was still in the role in 4712 AR.
