PathfinderWiki talk:Disambiguation

From PathfinderWiki

Needs Updating (RESOLVED)

Placing a marker that I found a couple of places on this page that are out of line with general practice - I can't just change it as it is an 'official policy' page, but it's a bit late to start this properly. Maybe there are more as no material updates have been made since 2009.

  • Pathfinder Chronicles is not 'A good example of' a Disambiguation page as it is not one at all any more.
  • 'When creating a disambiguation page, you should include the following template at the bottom the page: ' - hmm, they tend to go at the top - couldn't find one that obeyed this rule. --Fleanetha (talk) 00:14, 19 February 2017 (UTC)
Updated to address those two points. -Oznogon (talk) 22:00, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
Many thanks for that Oznogon - and it now makes a little more sense as I removed the red link in the text pointing to a non-existent template. That leaves a red link from "orphans" to PathfinderWiki:Orphan which also does not exist. I am going to attempt to link that to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Orphan as a temporary measure which does the job, at least, of defining orphan in this sense. --Fleanetha (talk) 22:47, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Actually, on a second look, it's not quite right now, but I have tinkered enough with a Policy page for one night. Under the heading "Disambiguation page", the second sentence needs as the example a natural title disambiguation page not one with "(disambiguation)" after it. Pathfinder Chronicles (disambiguation) would be a good example for the second example mentioned where "there is one primary definition of the title, the more important subject can go on the main, simple title." Natural title disambiguation pages can be found here Category:PathfinderWiki disambiguations and, of those, Iobarian or Crusade may be useful examples to use. Agreed? --Fleanetha (talk) 23:06, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
