Razor ferns are carnivorous plants that vaguely resemble humanoids and are capable of inflicting painful wounds with barbed, rigid fronds. They prefer to ambush small prey but do not hesitate to attack larger creatures that are distracted or sleeping.

While not common, razor ferns do sometimes serve as familiars to spellcasters.
