Sea King Shipyards is a small shipyard in the Docks district of the city of Absalom. The yard builds only one ocean-going vessel at a time, but it remains famous for the high quality and sturdiness of its fluyts and galleons that can sail the most dangerous waters in the Inner Sea.

Proprietor

Goodmiss Alidane of House Candren is the shipyards' manager, and as of 4720 AR is also their proprietor. She is a member of the Docks Council, and her Andoren loyalties place her at odds with Lord Archych of House Dureanz, the owner of the rival Devil's Own shipyard.

History

As of 4708 AR, Scion Lord Goodman Hugen, then the leader of House Candren and the First Harbormaster of Absalom, was the proprietor of Sea King Shipyards. After Goodman Hugen's ship mysteriously sank in 4719 AR, leading to his disappearance and presumed death, his daughter Goodmiss Alidane inherited the role of scion lord of House Candren, the shipyards' operations included, while Adrielle Neprathep inherited the role of Harbormaster.

As of 4720 AR, the shipyards' recently built ship Ambrosia had returned to Absalom from what was supposed to be a journey around the horn of Southern Garund fully intact, but without any sign of its crew, any indications of their fate, or any clues as to how the ship returned on its own. Goodmiss Alidane immediately hired investigators to unravel the mystery.
