Praetor Sylien is the aging commander of the Sargavan garrison at Fort Bandu. Nowadays he rarely ventures outside the fort.

He has 150 soldiers under his command, and is said to be a capable leader. His task is to protect Sargavan interests in the region from the hostile Mwangi tribes.
