Timeline of Rogavia disappearance and Surtova ascent

Page 60 of The Stolen Land indicates the public declaration of King Noleski's ascent was witnessed and sealed on the 21 Kuthona 4699 AR. The document states this was seven months after the disappearance of Rogavia. Page 61 states the disappearance was "In the middle of winter in early 4699 AR, every member of House Rogarvia vanished without a trace." (and the bit I missed) "by the end of the year, the Surtovas had made their move". There is a mismatch between "the middle of winter" and "seven months to the day" before 21 Kuthona, but the 7 months may be considered a legal fiction, with the that time being the acknowledgement that everyone had vanished. --Shadowfoot (talk) 00:01, 13 December 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, Shadowfoot. That clears up quite a bit of confusion. I agree that the declaration's use of "7 months" in that context is up for some interpretation, and the declaration as an in-universe document with a likely bias is potentially unreliable, and so those "7 months" therefore shouldn't overrule other sources stating a different timeframe for House Rogavia's disappearance. As you note, I think we can still refer to the proclamation by its date while also referring to the disappearance separately. -Oznogon (talk) 00:49, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
