Talk:Annis hag
Names
Should this article be moved to [[Iron hag]] and edited as follows?
- | name = Iron hag<br>Annis hag
1E - The iron hag is the most physically powerful of the hags. Sometimes known as annis hags or black hags,
- Changeling children born to iron hags are known as annis-born changelings or slag mays. They are the strongest of the changeling lineages,
- etc.
Should I assume that the term "annis-born changelings" should be completely removed from that sentence?
Also, in how many books has the name "black hag" ever been mentioned? Are these books canon sources; does PathfinderWiki:Canon policy consider the existence of the term "black hag" to be canon? --Descriptivist (talk) 01:33, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Note that when I wrote the above proposal on 11 September, I initially drafted it as "Annis hag1E". I'm now rescinding that "1E" superscript--calling "annis hag" a 1E name is misleading, since the name annis hag was used in PF2E.
- User:Oznogon has created Iron hag as a new page. That seems to separate the new page's remaster information about iron hags from the old page's premaster information about "annis a.k.a. iron" hags, which makes sense! But I'm not sure if I exactly understand whether that separation is the new page's specific goal. If the goal is that the [[Annis hag]] article exists to quarantine information that predates Monster Core, then that goal would seem contradictory to the fact that the annis hag article currently contains one paragraph that cites Monster Core. --Descriptivist (talk) 05:12, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Does anyone have input or thoughts on what should be our goals? Because the article's present state (viewable at this link) seems to be a "snapshot" of annis hag canon predating Monster Core except for the one outlier paragraph, I am tentatively replacing the Monster Core paragraph&citation with Bestiary (Second Edition) information&citation, to be consistent with the rest of the annis hag page. --Descriptivist (talk) 05:52, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
