Iron hags are shapeshifting hags who kidnap, imprison, and terrorize helpless children.1

Appearance

In their natural form, an iron hag has exceptionally long arms and hands tipped in cold iron claws, as well as cutting toenails and piercing teeth made of cold iron.1

Abilities

Iron hags can temporarily assume any feminine humanoid form, and can conjure a cage of cold iron fingernails daily to bind a single foe. They naturally resist many forms of physical harm save for adamantine.1

Ecology

Iron hags target infants too young to resist being abducted, or fearful or anxious youths, and then imprison them in towers or dungeons. To retain their prisoners, iron hags tell frightening tales about the outside world under the guise of protecting them, and resort to more direct forms of restraint for the same reasons if the prisoner still resists.1
