Talk:Book of the Dead
March of the Dead
This adventure seems fairly substantial and really needs its details on the wiki for those seeking adventures - its level, setting etc - as we do for normally published adventures, otherwise, it will get lost. I suspect we may get more such mini-adventures tucked into larger works in the future too, so determining how to handle them would be good. Could someone with more experience of real-world pages on the wiki have a think how best to enact this please? Does it get its own page - that may be simplest for categorisation, etc. though that can be done effectively on a redirect, which we definitely need. Or, do we add an adventure ib to this page? Thanks for any thoughts / help. --Fleanetha (talk) 09:42, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- My personal opinion is that the adventure does not needs it own page, Fleanetha. I think as long as we include the correct adventure categories and perhaps the "Adventure Overview" as a sub-heading in the main body text, we should be fine. I will unfortunately not be able to add any of this info, however, as I have cancelled all of my Paizo subscriptions (the last thing I purchased was the Quest for the Frozen Flame AP). I have yet to run a single PF 2E game and I don't think I will be in the future, and I just could not justify the cost or the shelf space anymore. That said, I still have a lifetime's worth of work to do on the wiki on everything up to then. --Brandingopportunity (talk) 16:23, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- HTD on Discord: I think we have a precedent with the mini-adventures in the Legacy of Fire back matter: The Final Wish. This aligns with your thoughts above, thank you, Brandingopportunity. Cade Herrig is considering: I'll give the issue some thought while at work tomorrow and see if I can figure out what the least-had option will be. Sorry to hear about your decision - I still live in hope of moving to 2E but we still have a lot of 1E to finish. --Fleanetha (talk) 21:38, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Cade Herrig on Discord: Re: embedded adventures. I think just adding the info as suggested by HTD would probably be fine. We'll just have to manually add the categories that the Adventure Infobox does on normal adventure publications
