Year of ascent

Campaign Setting cited Shigure's year of ascent as 4705 AR, but Jade Regent cites it as 4708 AR. The year from Jade Regent is used because it comes from a newer source from the same tier. -Oznogon (talk) 17:40, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

Death

The events of the Jade Regent adventure path reveal that the canon texts about Shigure's fate in Campaign Setting and Dragon Empires Gazetteer are in fact a falsehood perpetuated by Soto Takahiro to cover up Shigure's murder.

Because the results are true regardless of player action within the adventure path, this article reflects the current true state of the Pathfinder campaign setting. However, the vast majority of characters living in the Pathfinder campaign setting prior to the events of the Jade Regent, and many in the setting after the events of that path, would not know this information.
