Talk:Map
Discussion of the Map project also takes place in the #golarion-mapping channel of the PathfinderWiki Discord server. |
Fan Content Policy
The Fan Content Policy appears to allow creators to monetize "unwritten merchandise such as (but not limited to) pins, clothing, cosplay props, dice bags, etc.", where "the art is the focus of the piece, and they are physical products with limited production and distribution".
Doing so requires "follow(ing) the rules of all other IP owners whose content is used in your project. You agree to obtain permission to use any third party’s intellectual property in your project as well."
Allowed content includes works that "descriptively reference trademarks, proper names (characters, deities, artifacts, places, etc.), locations, dialogs, plots, storylines, language, and incidents based on the Paizo IP", the same allowances as the map has under the Community Use Policy.
- Does this allow us to monetize content based on the mapping project?
- Does this allow others to monetize content based on the mapping project?
- Who are the "IP owners" of the mapping project? Who would be responsible for granting permission use data or renderings from the mapping project?

Famished Mind (RESOLVED)
The Famished Mind listed on (PathfinderWiki:Map Locations Without Articles) does not match up with the Famished Witch on the map itself. AP 156 The Apocalypse Prophet, p60 shows The Famished Mind on the map, and it has a two paragraph entry for The Famished Mind on p62. I'm not sure how to request a map of Golarion update so I'm dropping it here for whoever manages that. --CBH (talk) 18:22, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks CBH, I've moved this discussion from PathfinderWiki:Map Locations Without Articles and will take a look. -Oznogon (talk) 01:30, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- I've fixed the map label and associated it with the Famished Mind article that already existed. I've also adjusted other labels from that map. These changes will take some time to be reflected on the map. Thanks again! -Oznogon (talk) 04:45, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
