Talk:Open Road Lodge/Conflicts

From PathfinderWiki

Location

Published sources conflict significantly on the location of the Door of Seasons, also called Door of the Seasons.

  • Pathfinder Society Guide 98 describes the location of the Open Road Lodge as "50 miles north-northeast of Nagisa". The only entrance to the lodge is the Door of Seasons and the Open Road Lodge itself is in a demiplane, so this location presumably refers to the Door of Seasons. This would place the Door at about the same latitude as the Fountain of Tabis and same longitude as Ulduvai.
    • Pathfinder Society Guide 101 describes a route from Kibwe to the Door of the Seasons. Kibwe is about 131 miles from the described point.
  • The locator map on King in Thorns 3, which depicts events described in Pathfinder Society Guide regarding the Pathfinder Society's reclamation of the Door, places the Door northwest of Lake Ocota, at a point between the canon locations of Dokeran and Saruhk. This point is about 485 miles west of the point described in Pathfinder Society Guide.

Per the canon policy, the position described by text in Pathfinder Society Guide should be used as the highest-tier source. However, this position is inconsistent with significant canon plot events from the scenarios that depict in detail the places that Pathfinder Society Guide describes only in passing.

This conflict might require an official clarification to resolve. -Oznogon (talk) 23:41, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
