External links

The link in the 'external links' section does not make sense. It has nothing to do with Pathfinder Chronicles or Pathfinder RPG.

I think it is supposed to be a link to [www.d20pfsrd.com], but that is not really in context with the RPG. I think that www.d20pfsrd.com deserves to have its own article (as do other important Pathfinder websites). David Shepheard 06:29, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Good catch; someone tried updating it from the beta wiki some time ago, but seems to have added the wrong link. I've corrected it.
Articles for major Pathfinder websites is a good idea. Not only does it help promote the community as a whole, but it also allows us to house only one external link for each project. -- Heaven's Agent 06:40, February 21, 2010 (UTC)
Creating articles on external pages may have some unforeseen implications, however, that I think we should consider before we set a precedent for allowing such articles. First, it could result in vanity pages created by administrators of pages which really have nothing to do with setting canon and while I'd love to have additional editors working on the project, if the extent of their contributions are ads for their own pages it may be more work than its worth. Additionally, I think we risk adding too much weight to non-canon sources, while we should be encouraging people to add information to the site from citable canon products. I recognize that we could do more to build the community, but I think it's a fine line and it's not one I want to err in crossing and have to try to put Humpty Dumpty back together afterwards. —yoda8myhead 06:49, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Remastered printings

I would like to add a row to the Releases table for the 2025 Guns & Gears (Remastered). And should we add a row for the 2024 Beginner Box (Remastered)? For both of these products, owning the OGL PDF automatically gives you the ORC PDF for "free".

User:CadeHerrig is considering creating a new PFWiki page [[Guns & Gears (Remastered)]] for G&G's ORC update. Guns & Gears has two product pages in the Paizo Store: the OGL one labeled "Guns & Gears", and the ORC one labeled "Guns & Gears (Remastered)". https://paizo.com/products/btq029xk https://paizo.com/products/btq05498

The Beginner Box has one product page in the Paizo Store, similar to how errata to any normal product doesn't change the product's URL. The Beginner Box 1st printing was OGL; the BBox 2nd printing is ORC (including canon changes, such as retconning its green dragon to instead be a horned dragon). https://paizo.com/products/btq026dl?Pathfinder-Beginner-Box --Descriptivist (talk) 23:49, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
