Talk:Saad
My physical copy of Guide to the River Kingdoms describes Saad as a hamlet, and does not provide a population. Was there a reprint, or another source for the present information listed in the article?--CainG (talk) 08:34, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
- Welcome CainG and interesting spot. The 'small town' category and infobox statement comes from the quoted population of 240, which is also listed in the infobox. We use the population figure as a guide to equate population to a description and that supersedes any 'descriptive' language in the source text so we are consistent across the wiki:
“Depending on the population, this should be Thorp (fewer than 20), Hamlet (21-60), Village (61-200), Small town (201-2,000), Large town (2,001 - 5,000), Small city (5,001 - 10,000), Large city (10,001 - 25,000), or Metropolis (more than 25,000).
”
- However, where does that '240' come from, as I have checked, and you did too, and it is not in the source quoted? I had a search and that figure is in The Inner Sea World Guide 162, so I'll add a reference on the page accordingly. --Fleanetha (talk) 10:00, 29 June 2019 (UTC)
