Template talk:Publication gallery
Six title limitation
Are we sure we should limit the number of titles in a single gallery to six? While there are not likely to be Adventure Paths with seven volumes, I could see this being used for comics or other series that end up needing more than six parts. — Yoda8myhead (talk) 22:04, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- I agree that it shouldn't be limited, but I'm still trying to find an efficient way to handle more than six at a time without the template ballooning too much in size. Each n has to be added individually because MediaWiki loops like #foreach can't handle templates inside of the loop, including the {{!}} template needed for table formatting. Six is good for now, and I can add more to it without a ton of effort, but I'm not sure it can scale to any arbitrary number of titles. --Oznogon (talk) 23:02, 3 January 2015 (UTC)
- Trying out a newer loop extension that includes a parser which appears to both perform better than #foreach and doesn't have its limitations. {{Publication gallery}} should now theoretically scale up to 100 items. --Oznogon (talk) 08:03, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
