Deprecation vs. Repurposing
As the documentation for this states, this template has largely been deprecated by the inclusion of spoiler warnings in the badge functionality on the site. I came across a spoiler warning in the middle of a product page (Kingmaker (CRPG)) and thought instead of basically not using this any more, we could instead repurpose it for use in Real-world POV articles to indicate that sections of the larger article contain spoilers. I do think that there's a certain level of expected spoilers in any real-world article, especially a product page where there's a subsection called "Plot" but it never hurts to provide notice out of courtesy, especially on a long article. Can anyone think of a reason not to make this for sections only, rename it, and send out a bot to replace it with badges where it does appear for an entire article?— Yoda8myhead (talk) 22:26, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- Sounds fine to me. The only content article using this template is Kingmaker (CRPG) anyway; the rest of the links are talk pages or from the old forum. -Oznogon (talk) 00:18, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
