The Temple of the Crawling Chaos is a cyclopean, remote temple to Nyarlathotep, located on the cold, wind-blasted side of a mountain in the Windswept Range in Leng, situated at an altitude of 20,000 feet. The rooms are tiled with cleanly-polished porphyry, and the doors are made of obsidian. The average height of ceilings is 40 feet in halls and at least 60 feet in rooms. Runelord Karzoug chose this temple to be the point of contact between Leng and his realm of Shalast, due to its remoteness which gave him some privacy. During Karzoug's reign, the temple was treated by his denizen of Leng allies as a gathering place before visiting Shalast. After Earthfall, the abandoned temple became the vault of the Shard of Sloth, hidden there by Mesmalatu.
