Wataxshyl is a juvenile copper dragon primarily known as a defender and drunkard in the Andoren town of Olfden.1

Associates

Wataxshyl is cowed by the red dragon Daralathyxl, whom he refers to as his king and to whom he pays tribute. When the red dragon visits Olfden, Wataxshyl also contributes to the town's deferential payments, which have decreased in frequency since Wataxshyl's arrival;1 as of 4708 AR Daralathyxl had not visited since 4699 AR.12

Despite his cowardice, wyverns of the Wolfrun Hills have sought Wataxhsyl's leadership, a rarity in a region where most serve Daralthyxl. Their requests also both surprise and discomfort Wataxshyl.3

Background

Little is known about Wataxshyl before his first appearance in Olfden in 4657 AR, when he appeared during a werewolf raid of the town and helped to defend it. Olfden's leaders thanked him by inviting him to visit whenever he pleased; Wataxshyl has subsequently spent most of his time in the town.1

His preferred vice is alcohol; he frequents the Silver Bulette and occasionally becomes intoxicated enough to cause significant property damage.1

Despite his mercurial nature, Wataxshyl has matured over his years in Olfden to such a point that he has offered to train with the Diamond Regiment during unusual periods of introspection.1

Possessions

Wataxshyl's prolific spending is as renowned across Andoran as his cowardice.4 He is wealthy with dwarven gold and spends it freely in Olfden, to such a point that some of its residents believe it would go bankrupt without him. The dragon claims to have a lair in the Wolfrun Hills despite spending most of his time in Olfden.1
